Job Description
As an NI Intern Engineer, you will participate in a structured internship program focused on advancing your knowledge in FTTx, Optics, and Network Routing technologies. You'll be immersed in real-world projects, guided by experienced mentors, and encouraged to collaborate across teams in an innovative and inclusive environment. This internship provides practical exposure and an opportunity to earn internationally recognized certifications like Nokia NRS1, FTTx, and Optics, significantly enhancing your career prospects. Interns will be part of the Network Infrastructure team, contributing to Nokia's mission of improving global connectivity.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in projects involving FTTx, Optics, and Network Routing technologies
Engage with cross-functional teams to contribute to network infrastructure development
Learn through practical experiences and technical mentorship
Work with new technologies in dynamic, real-time telecommunications settings
Collaborate in an inclusive and innovative team environment
Earn Nokia NRS1, FTTx, and Optics certification vouchers based on performance
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
Final semester students or recent graduates in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (Software Engineering), or Business Information Technology
Strong command of the English language
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge in IP/MPLS, BGP, VPRN/VPLS/EVPN
Programming skills: Python, Java, C++
Familiarity with tools and systems: Vagrant, Ansible, SQL, JSON, YAML, Redhat, Fedora, KVM, VMware
Exposure to AI/ML, scripting, Network Automation and Security, Intent-driven networking
Understanding of WDM/OTN and G.709 standard, REST API, NETCONF/gRPC
Experience with Containers, Docker, Kubernetes
NRS1 or equivalent certification (advantageous)
Commitment and availability for the full duration of the internship
