Job Description
The Lead Plumber will participate in planning, executing, and supervising plumbing and drainage maintenance activities across CBK facilities. This includes developing maintenance plans, preparing technical specifications, supervising service providers, participating in procurement evaluations, and ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health standards. The role also entails ensuring plumbing systems meet operational needs and regulatory requirements while maintaining service delivery quality.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in developing maintenance plans for CBK’s plumbing and drainage systems.
Conduct maintenance work on plumbing and drainage systems at headquarters and branches.
Assist in preparing specifications for plumbing works and materials.
Supervise plumbing service providers and monitor work quality.
Participate in evaluating plumbing-related quotations and tenders.
Support the inspection, acceptance, and procurement processes for plumbing materials and services.
Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Educational Qualifications
Government Trade Test Grade 1 or Final Proficiency Certificate in Plumbing and Drainage.
Higher National Diploma in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Work Experience
Minimum of five (5) years’ post-qualification experience in plumbing works in a large and busy organization.
Technical Competencies
Proficiency in plumbing and drainage maintenance.
Ability to interpret plumbing and drainage system drawings.
Knowledge in the installation and repair of plumbing fixtures.
Understanding of water usage patterns and conservation.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and plumbing-related codes.
