Job Description
MRC/UVRI and LSHTM Uganda Research Unit is seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals for 3 positions: Postdoctoral Fellow, Medical Field Worker, and Ophthalmic Field Worker. Deadline: 16th July 2026.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Postdoctoral Fellow: conduct high-quality research in HIV, emerging infections, vaccines, or chronic diseases; publish findings and contribute to grant writing
- Medical Field Worker: collect field data, conduct participant follow-ups, and support clinical research activities under supervision
- Ophthalmic Field Worker: conduct ophthalmic assessments and data collection as part of vision and eye health research studies
- All positions: maintain ethical standards in human subjects research and contribute to the unit's research output
