What You’ll Bring to the Team

Education and Experience

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, statistics, demography, international development, education policy) OR equivalent field-based experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning—preferably within education, youth employment, or entrepreneurship programs

  • Minimum of 2 years coordinating both quantitative and qualitative research activities

Technical Expertise

  • Proven ability to design and implement performance monitoring plans, including the development of indicators

  • Experience developing and contextualizing MERL tools for:

    • Surveys, questionnaires, structured/semi-structured interviews

    • Focus group discussions and classroom observation tools

  • Deep understanding of data quality assurance from collection through to reporting

  • Hands-on experience with digital data collection tools and software such as:

    • KoboCollect, SurveyCTO, ODK

    • MS Excel, SPSS, Stata, NVivo

  • Skilled in programming digital surveys, training enumerators, cleaning data, and preparing clear, timely reports that support evidence-based decision-making

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in cross-cultural, multi-stakeholder environments

  • A collaborative mindset with the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic context
