We are seeking a committed and compassionate Medical Doctor to join our Gulu team. This role involves providing direct medical care to survivors of torture, supporting rehabilitation efforts, and participating in outreach and advocacy activities.

How to Apply
Conduct medical examinations, counseling, and treatment for survivors of torture and other clients.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated patient care.
Refer clients to specialists and monitor the progress of referred cases.
Prepare detailed medico-legal reports for submission to the Uganda Human Rights Commission and Courts of Law.
Serve as a medical expert witness in court proceedings when required.
Participate in outreach programs, including visits to detention centers and remote communities.
Contribute to the planning and budgeting of medical unit activities.
Assist in proposal writing and fundraising initiatives.
Submit timely and accurate periodic medical reports.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution.
Fully registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
Minimum of 2 years’ post-internship clinical experience.
Experience working with vulnerable populations, especially survivors of trauma or torture, preferably in an NGO setting, is an added advantage.
Strong skills in communication, teamwork, and report writing.
