Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanical maintenance operations across oilfield sites. This role is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues, overseeing routine and preventive maintenance, and ensuring reliable equipment operation in line with project and industry standards.
Primary Function
Oversee all mechanical maintenance activities at oilfield sites.
Provide technical support and solutions for mechanical issues.
Ensure safe and efficient operations of mechanical systems and equipment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in commissioning and start-up of new oilfield mechanical systems.
Identify and follow up on mechanical issues inherited from the Engineering Team.
Support emergency response efforts in alignment with the Emergency Response Plan.
Implement instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor.
Generate and manage fault reports related to mechanical systems.
Collaborate with other departments as needed for integrated maintenance efforts.
Monitor and manage inventory of mechanical spare parts to ensure availability.
Lead the mechanical team in executing routine maintenance and repairs.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Develop and implement mechanical maintenance work plans.
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in managing and controlling the mechanical budget.
Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities to enhance equipment reliability.
Supervise mechanical contractors, ensuring safety and quality standards are met onsite.
Conduct training programs for national staff involved in mechanical operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the superior.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in the oil and gas sector, including:
At least 4 years of hands-on field experience in oilfield operations
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or lead mechanic role
Required Knowledge and Skills
Strong expertise in mechanical maintenance within oilfield environments
Experience in production operations and equipment management
Familiarity with international oil and gas industry standards and best practices
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
