Job Description

The MEAL Assistant will support the design, coordination, and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems. The role involves data collection, analysis, reporting, quality assurance, and ensuring that project implementation meets donor and organizational standards.

Project: Strengthening Environmental Accountability Project

(Funded by the Royal Danish Embassy, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Embassy of Ireland and Sweden)

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and regularly update MEAL tools including logframes, work plans, MEAL plans, results frameworks, and theories of change.
  • Conduct quarterly data quality audits.
  • Maintain and update project databases disaggregated by gender, age, nationality, and other indicators.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to inform management decisions and learning.
  • Document and analyze participant feedback for adaptive programming.
  • Track and document project outcomes, successes, and lessons learned.
  • Support evaluations, research, assessments, and learning sessions.
  • Prepare MEAL and progress reports for management, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Train and mentor staff and community partners in M&E and documentation.
  • Promote use of data for learning and program improvement.
