Job Summary
Airtel Uganda is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Lead to drive strategic initiatives within our Home Broadband (HBB) business segment. This role will play a pivotal part in pricing, go-to-market strategy, product customization, and revenue growth while ensuring exceptional customer lifecycle management.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Implement pricing strategies for home broadband devices and tariff plans in line with business principles.
Evaluate device pricing and commission proposals to ensure profitability and avoid negative margins.
Ensure timely and customized product configurations, including case and box branding, firmware, Web UI, user guides, and kinetic instructions.
Design tariff plans focused on increasing Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), customer base, or both.
Launch new devices and tariff plans within two weeks of approval, with clear customer communication.
Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) plans, including updates to product catalogues and recharge channel parity (USSD, app, web).
Prepare concise communication briefs outlining product USPs to support the sales pitch.
Conduct weekly post-launch performance analysis for the first month, followed by bi-monthly reports.
Track and report weekly subscription trends, device activations, and promotional usage.
Maintain monthly activation reports by channel, including exception tracking for technical or process issues.
Generate exception reports for unauthorized customer plan subscriptions.
Reconcile revenue data with actual subscription records.
Manage customer lifecycle and ensure delivery of a seamless broadband experience.
Lead project tracking and implementation for all new home broadband services.
Oversee the launch and management of new services aligned with business goals.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
MBA or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in a senior marketing role in FMCG or Telecom sectors.
Background in finance or IT is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and collaborate across teams.
Advanced analytical skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
Proven problem-solving ability and entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience working in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive environments.
Willingness to travel frequently across 14 Airtel Africa markets.
Sound knowledge of corporate governance principles.
Confident in presenting data-driven proposals to senior executives.
Demonstrated success in developing business cases and navigating governance frameworks.
