Bayobab manages MTN’s international and national major wholesale activities and provides reliable wholesale and infrastructure solutions for fixed connectivity and wholesale mobility services, including international mobile services, voice, SMS, signaling, roaming, and interconnect.
The Manager – Presales & Solutions Architect is responsible for leading end-to-end solution design and architecture for both internal and external customer requirements. The role is part of the Product, Presales, and Service Excellence team and serves as the technical bridge between customers, sales teams, product teams, and technology teams.
The position supports Sales teams across the Bayobab footprint by providing technical expertise, tailoring solutions to meet customer needs, optimizing capacity and resource utilization, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining balanced cost and spend. The role ensures the feasibility, quality, and timely delivery of technical and commercial solutions through close collaboration with key stakeholders, including managing presales activities, solution documentation, and contracting processes to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide input into operational and promotional planning to drive revenue growth within an allocated portfolio of accounts.
Monitor growth opportunities through competitor activity scanning and provide feedback to the business for further development.
Recommend approaches to exploit new opportunities and grow the business further.
Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Ensure timely responses to customer solution requests in line with Bayobab’s Call-to-Cash process and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).
Translate customer requirements into fit-for-purpose and cost-effective solutions.
Develop feasibility studies, cost models, and supporting documentation, including RFPs, proposals, SLAs, Statements of Work, and High-Level Designs.
Ensure solution governance, technical validation, and timely delivery of solutions.
Prepare, present, and maintain technical proposals, solution designs, KMZ files, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with off-net third-party providers for off-net or resale solutions, including last-mile, backhaul, and DIA services, to obtain technical details.
Capture and interpret customer requirements and design complex, customized solutions to meet those needs.
Build accurate and scalable cost models and provide input into pricing strategies.
Identify, assess, and document risks associated with proposed solutions.
Ensure all solutions are deliverable within committed timelines and have passed appropriate solution governance processes.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
Ensure customer issues and requests are resolved within agreed service level agreements.
Proactively identify and convert new solution opportunities to support account growth.
Provide ongoing support to existing accounts and actively pursue new profitable revenue streams through new accounts.
Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance across all solution documentation.
Apply best practices and stakeholder feedback to improve service quality and delivery performance.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and solution governance frameworks.
Analyze issues and take corrective actions to maintain solution quality.
Seek continuous feedback from clients and stakeholders to improve quality and customer service standards.
Recommend and implement innovative solution designs and automation opportunities.
Share insights to support product development and enhance service offerings.
Drive initiatives that improve cost efficiency, delivery speed, and overall customer experience.
Encourage a culture of continuous service improvement.
Stay up to date with industry trends, vendor solutions, and emerging technologies within the telecommunications industry.
