Job Description
The Manager, Credit Strategy Enablement will oversee the implementation of critical credit-related strategies within the Business & Commercial Banking segment. The role involves leveraging analytics and business intelligence to inform decision-making, maintaining alignment with regulatory standards such as IFRS9, and supporting optimal credit performance and risk management. It requires close coordination with internal stakeholders to set and monitor credit risk appetite, forecast impairments, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic objectives. A strong understanding of the full credit lifecycle, including scored decisioning and credit systems, is crucial for success in this position.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage execution of key credit strategic initiatives
Collaborate with Credit Decisioning, Portfolio Management, and Business teams
Provide data-driven insights to guide credit policy and process enhancements
Ensure adherence to the bank’s risk appetite and impairment forecasts
Support alignment with regulatory frameworks such as IFRS9
Interpret data to inform strategy and operational performance
Evaluate the effectiveness of credit risk management frameworks
Provide coaching and guidance to internal stakeholders where applicable
Prepare reports and strategic plans for senior leadership
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Educational Qualifications:
First Degree in Business Commerce, with specialisation in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Actuarial Science
Experience Required:
5–8 years of experience in Credit Strategy or a Credit Portfolio Analytics environment
Deep understanding of credit lifecycles, credit risk, and IFRS9/Credit Impairments
Some knowledge of scored decisioning, credit systems, and related credit processes is an added advantage
