Responsible for managing the C-lab’s Accounting and Reporting function to provide accurate and timely financial information to the Business Unit & Group Finance team, and ensuring that all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations across the Business Unit are adequately met.

Financial Reporting:
Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for internal use by management.
Generate regular budget vs. actual reports to monitor financial performance and track variances.
Provide financial insights to support decision-making at various levels of management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
Prepare financial forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business objectives.
Work closely with department heads to ensure that budgets are realistic and aligned with business goals.
Cost Analysis and Control:
Analyze costs associated with production, operations, and other business activities.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
Monitor and report on key cost drivers, ensuring that the organization operates within budgetary constraints.
Variance Analysis:
Analyze and explain variances between budgeted and actual financial performance.
Identify reasons for financial discrepancies and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Track performance metrics (e.g., profitability, liquidity, and efficiency ratios) to support continuous improvement.
A business degree or any other relevant degree
Fully qualified (CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or in the advanced stages of completion.
Minimum 4 years of working experience
Extensive experience in healthcare, retail or manufacturing industry
Experience and knowledge in Ugandan tax laws
Business acumen coupled with financial prudence
Ability to multi-task effectively and drive performance in a complex environment
Experience with one of the Big 4 firms would be an added advantage
