Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all logistics processes including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. The role involves coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics service providers, ensuring compliance, optimizing operations, and delivering customer satisfaction. The job holder will drive continuous improvement, track performance metrics, and lead the logistics team to achieve operational excellence.

a) Stakeholder and Logistics Provider Management
Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, logistics providers, and customers
Select logistics service providers and monitor their performance
Manage contracts, negotiate rates, and resolve service issues
Ensure timely communication and updates to all stakeholders
Handle logistics documentation and ensure compliance with authorities
b) Implementation of Logistics Best Practices
Introduce and enforce logistics policies and procedures
Optimize transportation modes, routes, and delivery frequency
Support cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
Maintain accurate logistics metrics and documentation
c) Operational Problem Solving and Inventory Management
Resolve logistics-related problems and customer service issues
Monitor changes in logistics patterns and recommend improvements
Safeguard inventory integrity and ensure accurate stock movements
Analyze logistics data and provide actionable insights to support operations
d) Personnel and System Management
Manage and develop the logistics team
Oversee daily logistics operations and system efficiency
Foster accountability and performance excellence
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management
Postgraduate qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage
Professional certification such as CIPS or CILT is a plus
Experience:
2 to 4 years of experience in logistics operations or a related field
Experience in a supervisory or managerial logistics role is preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of logistics processes and supply chain principles
Negotiation and contract management skills
Ability to analyze data and generate reports
Excellent organizational and communication skills
High integrity, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset
