Job Description
The Loans/Credit Officer will be responsible for sourcing clients, appraising loan applications, managing the loan portfolio, and ensuring timely recovery of disbursed loans. The role requires a proactive, ethical, and results-driven professional with strong client relationship and credit management skills.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead client acquisition, marketing, and loan sourcing activities.
- Conduct client appraisal and credit risk assessments for lending decisions.
- Process loan applications, documentation, and disbursement procedures.
- Manage and grow the loan portfolio within approved risk parameters.
- Take the lead in loan recovery as the first line of action and coordinate with third-party agents (bailiffs, lawyers, etc.) when necessary.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and handle all credit-related queries professionally and on time.
- Prepare loan performance and recovery reports.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
