Job Description

The L&D Officer will lead training needs analysis, create and manage annual learning plans and budgets, coordinate in-house and vendor-led programs, and deliver high-impact sessions (leadership, compliance, customer service, technical skills). The role designs onboarding (including a consumer-protection module), supports talent pipelines (interns/management trainees), tracks training histories, and measures learning effectiveness. The officer advises line managers on IDPs, succession planning, and change-readiness interventions while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

How to Apply

  • Conduct organization-wide TNAs; develop annual learning plans aligned to strategy.

  • Design, deliver, and/or coordinate training (leadership, communication, compliance, customer service, technical).

  • Build and run structured onboarding and a consumer protection induction module.

  • Coordinate learning for interns, management trainees, and new hires (including on-the-job training).

  • Develop, update, and maintain training materials and e-content.

  • Manage L&D budget; report on participation, costs, outcomes, and ROI.

  • Evaluate program effectiveness (assessments, feedback, performance data) and iterate.

  • Maintain accurate training records; ensure regulatory and internal compliance.

  • Advise managers on IDPs, talent development, and succession planning.

  • Support change initiatives with targeted learning interventions.

  • Stay current on learning technologies and best practices; foster a learning culture.

  • Perform other L&D duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business Administration/Management, Public Administration, Project Management, Education, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years progressive experience in coaching/training program development (banking exposure is an advantage).
