Job Description
Prepare scopes of work for vendor services and repairs, recommend preferred contractors, and coordinate vendors, materials, and equipment for both planned and unplanned activities while monitoring and controlling manpower usage. Conduct ad hoc technical surveys at site and at vendor or repair locations, providing detailed technical reports that identify problems and propose solutions, ensuring optimal contractor performance. Ensure all relevant operations and maintenance procedures and documentation are accurate, up to date, and available upon request.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide specialist technical and engineering advice and guidance to site personnel on operation and maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring the highest safety standards, timely responses to queries, and minimal disruption to operations.
Proactively monitor, review, and analyze plant and equipment performance using digital tools, providing feedback to line management, identifying opportunities to maximize production and performance, and sharing best practices.
Contribute to ongoing monitoring of maintenance and operational strategies to ensure all plant and equipment meet verification and compliance requirements.

Assist department management and planning teams in scheduling discipline maintenance activities, ensuring site personnel have all required resources, materials, and procedures to execute tasks in a timely manner.
Ensure all activities are carried out safely and effectively, controlled by authorized personnel, compliant with statutory and company standards, and free from hazardous incidents or events.
Lead investigations into equipment failures and outages, liaising with HQ specialists and vendors as required, and document findings along with corrective actions.
Prepare reports on equipment performance and compliance to meet local authority and HQ requirements.
Act as SECE Guardian for identified performance standards, ensuring technical compliance and assurance of those standards.
Ensure compliance with local legislation during execution of maintenance activities.
Prepare scopes of work and economic justifications for modifications, ensuring they are correctly engineered, documented, reported, and implemented in accordance with statutory and company standards, and properly closed out.
Provide technical support for recruitment and training of future maintenance technicians and engineers.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced engineers within discipline teams.
Manage specific budget lines by monitoring costs and ensuring expenditures remain within approved budgets.
Develop positive and constructive relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Identify opportunities to improve contractor and supplier performance, reduce costs, and enhance quality of services and products supplied.
Act as Contract Representative on specific projects, work scopes, and contracts, leading coordination and interface between office and site teams and contractors to ensure effective communication and mutual understanding.
