Kakira crushes over 2 million tonnes of cane per year to produce:
• Over 180,000 tonnes of sugar, half the national sugar production
• 51 MW of green electric power from bagasse – the residue from cane crushing
• Over 20 million litres of high-quality ethanol from molasses
• Premium potable spirits – an award-winning range of gin, rum and vodka
• Sweets and confectioneries
Our core product, Kakira Sugar, is extracted from cane grown on lush plantations on the fertile shores of Lake Victoria. The sweet crystals, with their distinctive flavour and rich golden colour, have sweetened foods and beverages all over Uganda since the 1930s.
Kakira is the flagship enterprise of a diverse portfolio of affiliates that make up the Madhvani group.
Kakira Sugar Limited (KSL) is a leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda. KSL boasts of two (2) sugar estates, one in Kakira-Jinja and the other in Kayunga. We seek to recruit dynamic, competent, and experienced candidates to fill the vacant position in the Company.

Planning and assigning tasks to the workers according to the production schedule and targets
Monitoring and evaluating the performance and productivity of the workers and providing feedback and guidance

A diploma or certificate in agriculture, business administration, or related field
At least three years of experience in supervising labour in a sugar cane plantation or similar environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of sugar cane cultivation and harvesting techniques and best practices
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
