Job Description
The Key Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison between Airtel Tanzania and its government clientele. The incumbent will work closely with various departments to ensure customer needs are met and business objectives are achieved. The role requires strategic engagement, customer-focused solution delivery, and effective internal coordination to optimize account performance. The manager will also be responsible for driving revenue growth and meeting sales targets through deepening customer relationships and offering innovative Airtel products and services.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and grow key relationships with government clients.
Serve as the voice of the customer within Airtel Tanzania.
Develop strategic roadmaps to close Airtel service contracts including fixed and mobile networks, CPaaS, NaaS, IoT, and cloud solutions.
Establish and strengthen relationships across various departments of client organizations including Finance, IT, HR, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
Map client needs to Airtel solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
Analyze competitor activities and market trends to proactively address client needs.
Provide insights on opportunities for cost optimization and technology improvements.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in sales and relationship management with government clients.
Strong understanding of fixed and mobile connectivity and enterprise solutions (e.g., NaaS, CPaaS, IoT, Cloud, and Security).
In-depth knowledge of the government sector and customer governance structures.
Certifications or membership in relevant professional organizations is an added advantage.
Competencies:
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Strategic thinking and client-centric mindset.
Proven ability to drive sales growth and deliver on KPIs.
Strong analytical and presentation abilities.
