Job Description
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely supplier payments, overseeing petty cash, and preparing internal financial reports. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams and ensure that the business complies with statutory and tax obligations. Prior experience in the agriculture sector is considered an added advantage.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Reconcile supplier statements and ensure timely payment processing
Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
Administer petty cash usage and prepare regular reports
Coordinate operational and supplier payments in compliance with internal procedures
Conduct internal inventory audits and ensure accurate stock reporting
Prepare ad hoc financial reports for management
Support tax filing and compliance with statutory requirements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
CPA or ACCA (part-qualified or fully qualified)
Experience:
Experience with accounting software
Previous work in the agricultural sector is an added advantage
Skills and Competencies:
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
