Job Description
The Credit Monitoring & Analytics Officer will leverage advanced analytics tools to assess the bank's credit portfolio performance, identify risk exposures, and ensure alignment with internal credit policies and regulatory standards. This includes monitoring sector limits, overdrawn accounts, and loan classification, as well as conducting scenario analysis, IFRS 9 modeling, and audit support. The officer will also prepare insightful credit risk reports and provide recommendations to senior management.

How to Apply
Proactively monitor the loan portfolio to detect risk trends, sector limits, and large exposures.
Identify early warning signs and ensure appropriate loan classification.
Track overdrawn accounts and recovery efforts in collaboration with branch teams.
Conduct regular data quality checks and ensure data integrity within the loan files.
Prepare credit risk reports and communicate insights to management and external stakeholders.
Track portfolio movements and implement stop-lending thresholds as needed.
Monitor sector exposure in line with the bank’s strategic focus.
Review product setup in core systems and verify functionality compliance.
Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess economic impact on the credit book.
Support and track outcomes from internal/external audits, ensuring follow-up on recommendations.
Conduct monthly credit compliance self-assessments and close identified gaps.
Run monthly IFRS 9 models, track provisions, and suspended interest movements.
Implement AML, KYC, and CFT protocols where applicable.
Execute other duties as assigned by management.
Education:
Degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Desirable Certifications:
Credit Risk Certification
Data Analytics & Visualization Certification
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a similar credit or analytics role.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel, Power Query, and Power BI
Data querying and programming: SQL, Python, R
Personal Attributes:
