Job Description
The IT Techno Functional Manager – SAP is responsible for managing and optimizing SAP systems by combining both technical expertise and business process knowledge. The role ensures smooth system operations, supports business functions, and leads SAP-related projects and improvements.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- SAP System Management
- Oversee and support SAP modules such as SD, MM, PP, FI, QM, and SuccessFactors (HR)
- Implementation & Projects
- Lead SAP implementations using methodologies like ASAP or SAP Activate and manage full project cycles
- Business Process Optimization
- Work closely with departments (finance, supply chain, production) to improve system efficiency and workflows
- Data & Reporting
- Utilize SAP HANA and analytics tools to generate insights and support decision-making
- Compliance & Integration
- Ensure compliance with Ugandan tax regulations and manage EFRIS integration and reporting
- Technical Support & Infrastructure
- Support system performance including cloud hosting, network infrastructure, and troubleshooting
- Team Leadership
- Guide and coordinate IT teams while ensuring effective communication across departments
