Job Title: IT Support Officer

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
Installing and configuring computerised hardware and software systems.
Timely response to service issues and requests
Providing technical support including, trouble shooting , diagnostic tests, setting up new user Accounts and coordination across the company.
Repairing and replacing equipment as per requirement.
Researching and recommending new technologies to improve efficiency and cut costs.
Ensuring the security of all IT systems and data in the Company.
Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
Managing biometric systems across the company.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A bachelor s Degree in computer science, Information technology or Computer engineering
2+ Years’ experience in a busy environment is crucial for the position.
ERP software certification/ Experience is a must.
Key Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Attention to detail
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion as per standard accepted
