Job Description
Reporting to the Manager–Cyber Defence, the IT Security Specialist – Infrastructure will design, implement, and manage security controls across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role involves conducting infrastructure assessments, managing advanced security tools, leading incident response, and ensuring compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS. The specialist will collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to ensure robust security architecture, while supporting business continuity and disaster recovery with a focus on resilience and secure failover procedures.

How to Apply
Implement, monitor, and maintain infrastructure security controls across hybrid environments.
Conduct security assessments on servers, databases, and network devices to identify vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to ensure secure architecture design, patching, and hardening of systems.
Manage and optimize tools such as EPP/EDR, firewalls, IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and configuration tools.
Lead response and root cause analysis of infrastructure-related security incidents.
Develop and maintain security baselines, hardening guides, and access control standards.
Support infrastructure resilience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and other applicable regulations.
Assist with audits and provide evidence on infrastructure security measures.
Stay updated on emerging infrastructure security threats and technologies.
Communicate risks and solutions effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security, AWS/Azure Security (at least one required).
Experience:
Minimum 4 years in systems/network administration or infrastructure security.
Banking sector or enterprise-level security implementation experience preferred.
Proven knowledge of infrastructure defense techniques, cloud security, and platform hardening.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, WAFs, EDR, IPS, and vulnerability management.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of Unix, Windows, Python scripting.
Familiarity with infrastructure security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic perspective and ability to make critical decisions.
Leadership and teamwork abilities.
Self-motivated with strong commitment to personal and professional development.
