Position Overview
Bukoola Chemical Industries Ltd is seeking a proactive, strategic, and technically competent IT Manager to lead and strengthen its Information Technology function. The role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient ICT systems that support business operations, while driving digital transformation and maintaining high standards of cybersecurity and compliance.
The IT Manager will provide overall technical leadership, supervise the IT Officer, and ensure continuous improvement of ICT services to enhance productivity and operational efficiency across the organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee the performance, reliability, and security of networks, servers, hardware, cloud services, and business systems.
Ensure proper installation, maintenance, upgrading, and optimal utilization of all ICT equipment.
Provide advanced technical support and promptly resolve escalated ICT issues to minimize system downtime.
Implement, monitor, and enforce cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, access controls, and data backups.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and respond effectively to security incidents.
Ensure compliance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act (DPA) 2019 and ICT audit requirements.
Lead the implementation, optimization, and support of business systems such as ERP, HRMIS, CRM, and production systems.
Identify automation opportunities and recommend digital solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Manage system upgrades, integrations, and technology projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Develop, review, and enforce ICT policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and service standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of ICT architecture, system configurations, licenses, and user access.
Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly ICT performance, risk, and compliance reports.
Manage ICT procurement and maintain strong relationships with vendors, service providers, and consultants.
Monitor and control ICT budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money.
Oversee ICT asset management, including inventory control, lifecycle management, and asset disposal.
