Job Title: IT Infra Engineer
Organisation: De Heus Animal Nutrition (Koudijs)
Duty Station: Jinja, Uganda
You will work in the local IT department as an IT engineer. We are working to keep the infrastructure stable and safe and to improve the infrastructure for our local business unit. In this role you are responsible for the local IT infrastructure (both on-premises and cloud) and you will support our users with their day-to-day IT matters

How to Apply

Focus:
Register and solve IT related issues, handle changes and requests, where needed involve other colleagues or suppliers.
Maintain, improve and update our local IT infrastructure, with the support of global colleagues and external suppliers.
Provide technical advice and support for projects.
Stay on top of requests from our users and support our business processes.
Advise our management on improvements.
Raise security awareness amongst our users and mitigate issues that you might encounter.
Ensure new users are properly onboarded in our systems and have the appropriate devices and access.
Be a sparring partner for our organization on projects and alternatives that have an IT component.

Qualifications:
Can-do mentality;
For this position we expect you to have adequate education on IT, possibly with focus on IT infrastructure.
At least 5-7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, amongst which cloud concepts, network and server infrastructure, directory services, security and collaboration tools.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Relevant certificates, such as MCSA or Azure (hybrid) certifications (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-800, AZ-801, AZ 400, AZ-305). Networking certifications (Cisco or Fortinet) are a plus.
Relevant knowledge of platforms and tools such as Hypervisors, Windows server, enterprise grade networks, PowerShell, Microsoft Azure, etc.
Experience with support ticket systems, incident management and change management.
