Internship Opportunity

Location: Uganda
Job Purpose
The IsDB Internship Program aims to provide students and recent graduates with practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic, professional environment. Interns will contribute meaningfully to departmental projects, gain exposure to operations, and benefit from structured learning and development opportunities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Support:Participate in operations-related tasks and ongoing departmental projects aligned with academic interests or professional goals.
Logistics & Coordination:Assist in organizing meetings and events at the Regional Hub, including preparing materials, managing logistics, and supporting pre- and post-meeting activities.
Documentation & Analysis:Review program documents and partner reports, and assist in compiling statistics, reports, and relevant analyses.
Success Stories & Communication:Contribute to the development of project success stories for publication in the IsDB Newsletter.
Administrative Support:Handle general tasks such as preparing PowerPoint presentations, maintaining records, scanning documents, and filing.
Knowledge Sharing:Conduct at least one knowledge-sharing session at the Regional Hub Kampala (RHK) on a topic of interest.
Other Duties:Provide additional support as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications at the time of application:
Final-year undergraduate student
Enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program
Recent graduate (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral) within the last 12 months
Required Skills & Knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Teamwork and collaboration abilities
Language:
English – Required
French – Preferred
Internship Duration: 6 months
