Job Description
The Intern Agent will be responsible for representing Pam Golding Properties in the marketing and sale of residential properties within the Milnerton area. Candidates will receive mentorship and guidance to perform essential duties such as listing, marketing, selling properties, client consultations, conducting market analysis, and negotiating transactions. The role requires commitment, self-motivation, and the ability to manage independently, with full support from a professional team. All successful applicants must apply and pay for their Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) and register for the required NQF4 real estate qualification. Candidates must also be financially prepared to sustain themselves during the initial months before earning commission.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Market, list, and sell residential properties
Conduct client consultations to determine needs and financial capabilities
Promote sales through advertising, marketing, and show houses
Complete relevant documentation such as mandates and sales agreements
Perform comparative market analysis to determine property value
Network with attorneys and mortgage originators
Stay informed about real estate market trends, negotiation strategies, and legal requirements
Collaborate with a mentor or full-status agent for guidance and support
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Education:
Matric (Grade 12)
Experience:
No prior real estate experience required; training and mentorship provided
Key Competencies:
Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Self-motivated and persistent
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of marketing and customer service principles
Other Requirements:
Must reside in the Milnerton area
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
Personal laptop
Willingness to register and fund your own FFC and NQF4 qualification
Financial stability for initial commission-only period
