The Business Development Manager II will be responsible for formulating and executing business growth strategies aimed at expanding the company's market presence. The role involves identifying new markets, conducting viability studies, negotiating partnerships, and developing innovative supply chain solutions that align with Unitrans’s long-term goals. The successful candidate will lead strategic projects, secure new business opportunities, and drive the Unitrans brand within the mining industry and beyond. The role requires strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and mining operations, especially in drilling, blasting, and load-and-haul services.

How to Apply
Formulate and lead the business growth strategy for the next 3–5 years
Identify new markets, customers, and regions for expansion
Develop strategic customer relationships and align solutions with client needs
Drive innovative supply chain solutions that deliver annuity-based revenue
Secure and manage new business and joint ventures locally and internationally
Monitor and evaluate project progress and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Identify and initiate development projects and co-marketing opportunities
Deliver strategic supply chain solutions across the entire lifecycle (design to management)
Prepare and present projects for recognition such as the Logistics Achiever Awards
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet long-term growth targets
Lead or support contract renewals and high-stake negotiations
Maintain a strong corporate and market presence through PR and communications
Drive all internal and external marketing campaigns
Deliver the mining division's budget in terms of cost and value
Actively monitor competitors and shifts in the industry
Network within the mining industry to establish new business leads
Ensure compliance with company policy and brand identity standards
Minimum Qualifications:
4-Year Degree (Bachelors or Advanced Diploma)
Experience and Competencies:
Up to 10 years of experience in a similar business development role
Experience in the mining environment, specifically in:
Drilling and blasting
On-mine load and haul operations
Strong costing expertise in mining logistics
Proven track record of project delivery and business expansion
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
High competency in supply chain management and innovative solution development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong industry network within the mining sector is advantageous
