Position Overview

CTG is seeking a highly qualified ICT Systems Integration Support Technician with strong experience in alternate power systems and IT system integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical power systems across multiple UN operational sites.

How to Apply

  • Install and commission UPS, solar, battery, and related power systems.

  • Configure and maintain UPS systems in line with manufacturer specifications and best practices.

  • Perform routine maintenance and testing on AC/DC power systems and backup units.

  • Inspect and verify the condition of newly procured equipment.

  • Coordinate with IT/network teams to update firmware and enhance system performance.

  • Research emerging technologies in alternate energy to improve system efficiency.

  • Travel to various UN sites for scheduled maintenance, repairs, and emergency interventions.

  • Accurately diagnose and resolve faults in UPS and other backup systems.

  • Document work and maintenance activities clearly and promptly using CTG’s internal systems.

  • Provide on-call support for emergency technical issues as part of the FTS duty roster.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical field (required).

Experience:

  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in alternate power systems and systems integration (required).

  • Experience working in field operations with the UN system or similar international organizations is desirable.

  • Prior work in conflict or post-conflict environments is highly advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical expertise in AC/DC systems, UPS, solar, and battery technology.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.

  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Willingness to work with minimal supervision.

  • Valid driving license is required.

Team Management:

  • This position does not include managerial responsibilities.
