Job Description
As ICT Governance and Compliance Team Lead, you will drive the implementation of ICT governance, compliance, and risk management strategies aligned with frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF. The role includes leading internal and external audits, policy development, risk assessments, vendor compliance reviews, and ensuring alignment with NDPR, CBN guidelines, and other relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Internal Audit teams and provide compliance training across the organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, monitor, and evaluate ICT governance frameworks in line with global standards (COBIT, ITIL, NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
Lead audit readiness and support external and internal audit activities.
Monitor and ensure compliance with NDPR, GDPR, CBN regulations, and other ICT policies.
Establish and enforce ICT policies, standards, and procedures.
Conduct ICT risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
Perform third-party vendor assessments to ensure policy compliance.
Track non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
Provide compliance training and awareness sessions to ICT and other teams.
Collaborate with Legal, Risk Management, and Internal Audit to align compliance initiatives.
Stay current on ICT regulatory developments across Nigeria and Africa.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
B.Sc./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
MBA or M.Sc. in ICT Management or Risk Management (added advantage).
Certifications (Preferred):
CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor, COBIT, ITIL Foundation, Certified Data Protection Officer (NDPR-related).
CRISC or CISSP (optional but an advantage).
Experience:
Minimum of 5–7 years in ICT governance, compliance, and risk management.
Solid understanding of NDPR, CBN ICT Guidelines, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF.
Experience in banking, telecom, FMCG, or oil & gas sectors preferred.
Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory and compliance landscape.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage audits, policies, and risk assessments.
Excellent documentation and policy writing capabilities.
