Job Description
The successful candidate will act as a guardian and mentor to boarding students, ensuring their overall well-being, discipline, and participation in academic and extracurricular activities. They will supervise daily routines, enforce school regulations, promote healthy habits, and support students in developing good moral character. The role requires strong leadership, empathy, and organizational skills to manage and nurture students in a structured hostel environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as a parental guardian to boarding students
Supervise student daily routines and enforce hostel rules
Monitor students’ academic engagement both within and outside school hours
Promote and ensure proper hygiene and healthy habits among students
Provide guidance and enforce discipline based on moral and behavioral expectations
Address student concerns and maintain a safe and supportive living environment
Report incidents and maintain accurate records of student behavior and wellbeing

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Qualification:
Minimum of a B.Sc. Degree in any discipline
Experience:
1–2 years of work experience as a Hostel Master or Porter
Skills and Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent communication and mentoring ability
Ability to enforce discipline in a firm but caring manner
High sense of responsibility and moral integrity
Organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively with adolescents and maintain a supportive environment
