Job Summary
Pearl of Africa Oil & Nut Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Horticulture Agronomist to lead the cultivation and management of vegetables including tomatoes, green peppers, onions, cabbages, and watermelon. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of practical experience in vegetable farming, a solid background in sales targeting both export and local markets, and a strong record of introducing innovative agricultural practices. This role demands hands-on work in rural environments and a commitment to excellence.

Reporting and Documentation
Keep accurate records of farming activities, production data, and sales performance.
Prepare and present operational and financial reports to senior management.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in vegetable crop management, including watermelon, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and cabbages.
Experience in sales and marketing for both local and export agricultural markets.
Strong understanding of sustainable farming practices and modern agri-tech.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working in rural environments and adaptable to challenging conditions.
Proficiency in farm management software and data analysis is an advantage.
Fluent in English; knowledge of local Ugandan languages is a plus.
Compensation
This contract-based position offers performance-linked remuneration based on sales volume and outcomes. Specific details will be discussed during the interview.
