Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
Responsible for ensuring all staff and visitors observe HSE regulations, as required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to the senior Management.
Ensure that the factory has proper risk emergency plans in place and are
Conducting training needs assessment and ensure that all staff are adequately trained in Occupation Health and Safety Precautions.
Ensure proper waste management in and outside the factory and that all waste generated as a result of Company operations are handled.
Participate in Environmental audits, both internal and external and implement corrective actions.
Assist in coordinating emergency response Drills.
Provide pollution control mechanisms and protect employees from foreseeable work hazards by ensuring safe working Environment, free from fumes, noise, vibrations and dust.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Public health, or a related discipline.
NEBOSH Certification is an added advantage
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role in a busy environment.
Key Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Attention to detail
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
