Develop, review, and implement HSE policies, standards, and procedures in line with Ugandan legislation majorly the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2006, NEMA guidelines, relevant international best practices and internal company safety requirements.

Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of reports, permits, and compliance documentation.

Conduct regular workplace risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and facilitate implementation of control measures.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.

Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility at all organizational levels by organizing and facilitating HSE training programs.

Oversee environmental management initiatives, including waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.

Ensure environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and audits are conducted where required.

Prepare and submit periodic HSE performance reports to management.

Maintain HSE records, including training logs, incident reports, and safety inspection checklists.

Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance workplace safety and sustainability.
