Job Description
The Head of Workshop will lead and oversee all workshop maintenance activities, ensuring they align with safety regulations, quality standards, and company goals. This role demands a dynamic professional with extensive technical knowledge, leadership capability, and a commitment to excellence in aircraft airworthiness. The incumbent will be responsible for managing technical teams, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulatory requirements.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and manage workshop teams to ensure efficient and compliant maintenance operations.
Ensure all workshop activities meet safety and regulatory standards.
Oversee aircraft airworthiness by ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules and procedures.
Coordinate maintenance planning and execution to minimize aircraft downtime.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all maintenance activities.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all aviation authority requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes and procedures.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License.
Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably in a workshop leadership role.
Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
