About the Organisation
The EYE-C programme, funded by the Mastercard Foundation, is being implemented by a consortium comprising aBi Development Ltd, Café Africa Uganda, and IWCA Uganda Chapter. Job Description
Café Africa Uganda (CAU) and the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (ICA) Uganda Chapter are seeking qualified and passionate individuals to support the implementation of the Empowering Young Women Entrepreneurs in Agriculture Stimulated by Coffee (EYE-C) programme.
Positions under Café Africa Uganda (CAU)
Head of Skills and Development
Locations: Kampala and various coffee-growing districts in Uganda
Role Summary:
Responsible for leading the strategic planning, design, and implementation of all capacity-building activities under the EYE-C programme. This includes developing technical training modules, overseeing youth skilling initiatives, and ensuring the integration of gender and youth-responsive learning.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the creation and rollout of training curricula for young women entrepreneurs.
Supervise national-level capacity-building activities in coffee and other agricultural value chains.
Coordinate with local trainers, institutions, and stakeholders to ensure quality and relevance.
Monitor the impact of skilling interventions and propose continuous improvements.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Master’s in Agricultural Extension, Education, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Youth Development, or related field.
Certification in TVET, enterprise development, or curriculum design is an added advantage.
Minimum 7 years of experience in training or youth workforce development programmes.

Note: While most roles will involve in-person engagement at either Kampala or designated coffee-growing districts, provisions for remote or hybrid work arrangements may be considered, depending on the nature of the role and candidate suitability. Therefore, candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to work remotely when required, including use of virtual collaboration tools and adherence to remote working protocols
