The Head Communication will report directly to the General Manager and champion its brand, offering an exciting opportunity to shape public perception and contribute to the growth of payment technology in a vibrant market in Uganda. This role requires a Head Communication leader with a deep understanding of strategic communication initiatives, fostering positive media relations, and strengthening community ties in Uganda’s evolving fintech landscape.

How to Apply
Communications
Lead the development of publications and strategic campaigns for EPL’s projects, events, consumer protection efforts, and key fintech issues.
Manage digital communication channels by creating and publishing website and social media content, including press releases and newsletters.
Ensure effective communication among association members to share important information and promote events, surveys, etc.
Establish strong relationships with influencers, key stakeholders, and regulators to support initiatives such as EPL product launches, events, and RTM campaigns.
Foster connections with stakeholders, members, and develop professional
communities, including the Chief Marketing Officer, Public Relations, and Digital Communications Communities.
Public Relations
Ensure EPL’s reputation and public visibility by conducting daily media monitoring and producing monthly reports on news coverage.
Cultivate strong relationships with the media, organize impactful events for journalists, and solidify the EPL Media Community.
Proactively lead media events, including press conferences, gatherings, media clinics, and visits, while establishing strategic business partnerships with media outlets.
Handle media inquiries decisively and coordinate interviews, statements, and communications effectively.
Stay fully informed about key issues in the Fintech industry and be prepared to deliver official statements as necessary.
Leverage extensive experience in crisis communication to navigate challenges with confidence.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field is essential.
A minimum of 3 years of solid experience in Marketing Communication, Public Relations, or a related field is required.
Strong relationships with media outlets (regional, national, and international) are highly advantageous.
Exceptional writing skills in both English and one local language are mandatory.
Proven experience in handling communications within the Fintech, Digital Finance, or Finance industry is necessary.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and social media management
