Job Description
Job Title: Head Airwing
Organisation: Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operating Authority’s Aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintaining the Airwing in compliance with all aviation regulations.
Supervising the maintenance and readiness of the Authority’s fleet.
Developing and implementing operational plans and procedures for aerial activities.
Establishing and maintaining collaborative mechanisms with stakeholders to support Conservation Missions.
Adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits and drills.
Preparing workplans and periodic reports.
Supervising and appraising staff.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education
Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL/IR)
Experience
A minimum of 1000 flight hours Total Time of which 100 should be on any one type of UWA’s aircraft.
