We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager (Operations) to oversee the operations of our roofing sheet manufacturing facility. This position demands a strategic leader with extensive expertise in steel manufacturing, particularly in cold rolling processes, galvanizing, and coating lines. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of plant operations, quality control, project execution, and team leadership.

How to Apply
Operational Management: Lead and manage daily operations across the manufacturing plant, including Cold Rolling Projects, Erection and Commissioning, Production, Raw Material Management, Inventory Control, Packaging, Design Development and overall factory administration.
Production Management: Oversee the successful operation of a CRM, Galvalume, CCL, Tube Mill.
Project Execution & System Validation: Manage and implement project aspects, ensuring successful validation systems to deliver high-quality products that meet customer specifications.
Quality & Compliance Leadership: Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure production and material compliance with quality standards.
Team Development & Training: Lead the team in implementing Lean Manufacturing practices (5S, WCM) and quality systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 50001, TS Certification). Ensure continuous training and development of engineers and workers for smooth operations.
Inventory and Vendor Coordination: Oversee vendor relationships, raw material procurement, and inventory control to ensure timely supply and cost efficiency.
Cost Control, Report Generation & MIS: Prepare reports on indents, stock availability, and monthly Management Information Systems (MIS) reports. Meet production targets within time and cost parameters.

Educational Qualification: Engineering degree in Mechanical Stream. MBA in Operations Management is preferred.
Industry Experience: Minimum of 25 years of experience in the steel industry, with a special focus on roofing sheet manufacturing.
Key Expertise:
Cold Rolling Mill: Strong technical and operational knowledge of 4HI and 6HI cold rolling mills, skin pass mills, and push & pull pickling lines.
Galvanizing & Coating Lines: Expertise in galvanizing, Galvalume, colour coating lines, and tube mills.
Batch Annealing Furnaces: Knowledge of batch annealing furnaces and associated processes.
Plant Operations: Expertise in multidimensional manufacturing projects, continuous quality improvements, and operational compliance.
Vendor Development: Proven track record in vendor relationship management and procurement coordination.
Skills & Competencies:
Proven leadership in managing plant operations, ensuring timely execution of production orders while maintaining cost control and efficient resource utilization.
Expertise in driving operational efficiency through the implementation of industry best practices such as 5S, World-Class Manufacturing (WCM), and ISO certifications.
Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, impart training, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
