Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and proactive Full-Stack Developer to be our first dedicated tech resource. You will be responsible for building our core operational software from the ground up. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives in a startup environment and is passionate about using technology for social and environmental good.

App Development: Design, develop, and deploy a secure and user-friendly mobile and web application. This includes:
Building a Hub Management Module for supervisors to track purchases, manage daily cash flow, and reconcile stock positions.
Creating a Field Operations Module for our 3-wheel motorbike riders to log real- time collections and material weights.
Designing a Reporting Dashboard that provides management with a real-time, consolidated view of key operational metrics.
Ensuring the mobile application has a robust offline mode for use in areas with limited connectivity.
Design should be usable by a non-technical audience and with intuitive work flows.
Database Management: Design, build, and maintain a scalable database architecture to support real-time data flow from all hubs and collection points, ensuring data integrity and performance.
System Integration: Integrate the application with our existing systems and future technology partners; which could include connecting to digital weighing sensors and payment APIs.
Maintenance & Security: Implement best practices for data security, access control, and backups. Proactively monitor the application’s health and performance and ensure it can scale with our growth.
Technical Strategy: Serve as the primary technical advisor to the leadership team. You’ll help define our long-term technology roadmap, evaluate new technologies, and plan for future features like predictive analytics and partner integrations.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
5+ years of experience in full-stack development with a track record of successful deployment and maintenance of full-stack applications
GCP or AWS certification is an added advantage.
Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript/Node.js, Python/Django, or similar).
Experience with a mobile app development framework (e.g., React Native, Flutter) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of database design and management with certifications for the cloud service provider of choice (e.g. SQL or NoSQL).
Experience in building and integrating APIs.
A proven track record of shipping and maintaining a live application. E.g. Git, Docker and Kubernetes.
Demonstrable experience building and integrating APIs.
