Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist

Duty Station: Wakiso, Uganda
Aquarius Kigo Resort is seeking a friendly and professional Front Office Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service throughout their stay. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-oriented approach, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently.

How to Apply
Guest Reception and Check-In:
Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, ensuring all guest information is accurately recorded.
Provide guests with information about the resort’s facilities, services, and local attractions.
Customer Service:
Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
Assist guests with special requests, such as booking transportation, making restaurant reservations, and arranging tours.
Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by anticipating and addressing their needs.
Administrative Duties:
Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and messages.
Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and payments.
Handle cash transactions and process credit card payments securely.
Coordination and Communication:
Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage) to ensure seamless service delivery.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate guest services and special requests.
Update and maintain the front office database and reservation system.
Facility Management:
Ensure the front desk area is tidy, presentable, and stocked with necessary materials (e.g., brochures, forms, pens).
Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
Assist in managing the inventory of office supplies and place orders when necessary.
Security and Compliance:
Enforce basic security procedures by monitoring guest access and maintaining a logbook.
Assist in issuing guest passes and employee ID cards.
Ensure compliance with all resort policies and procedures.
Proven experience as a Front Office Associate, Receptionist, or similar role in the hospitality industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using office equipment (e.g., fax, printer) and hospitality management software.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
High School diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Hospitality Management are a plus.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
