Position Summary
FINCA Uganda is hiring Financial Inclusion Officers (FIOs) to expand outreach and promote group lending through community-based financial services. The FIO will play a vital role in client acquisition, financial literacy training, and group mobilization, ensuring that underserved communities are empowered with the knowledge and access to FINCA’s group loan products.
This position is ideal for passionate, field-oriented individuals who enjoy engaging with communities and making a meaningful social impact.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop monthly outreach and mobilization plans in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
Organize and conduct group marketing drives, door-to-door visits, and community sales activities.
Facilitate three-part financial literacy training sessions for potential group loan customers.
Educate clients on FINCA Uganda’s Self-Managed Group Lending methodology.
Guide new groups in leadership selection, governance, cohesion-building, and record-keeping.
Assess readiness and eligibility of group members for FINCA’s financial services.
Implement agreed action plans and submit weekly progress reports to the Branch Manager and Product Associate.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
Excellent communication skills in English and the local language of the assigned location.
