Job Description
PalmPay is seeking a qualified Finance Manager to lead financial operations in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and managing the company's fiscal health and strategy.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage tax compliance, including VAT, WHT, and PAYE filings with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
- Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and oversee treasury functions.
- Maintain and strengthen internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial insights and reports to the senior management team to support strategic decision-making.
