Job Description
The Cashier will be responsible for handling all cash transactions accurately while delivering excellent customer service. The role involves maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, preparing reports, and supporting smooth hotel operations in line with hospitality industry standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive payments, issue receipts, and accurately account for all cash transactions
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to hotel guests
- Record financial transactions in the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and hospitality standards
- Assist with inventory management of items sold at the cash register
- Collaborate with other departments to support smooth hotel operations
- Support operations during peak periods, events, and busy service hours
