Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and field-ready Field Technicians to support the implementation of our Sustainability Strategy, particularly the Responsible Sourcing (RS) and Stronger Coffee Initiative (SCI) programs. The successful candidates will work closely with farmer groups, suppliers, and local communities to promote sustainable coffee sourcing and supply chain traceability.

How to Apply
Implement Responsible Sourcing (RS) field activities, including training, field visits, and formation of new farmer groups.
Collect and digitize farmer data, including GPS coordinates and polygon mapping.
Engage farmers and suppliers on best practices for sustainable coffee sourcing.
Provide regular reports to the Team Leader on field sustainability operations.
Promote traceability by monitoring bulking centers and training supply chain actors on record keeping.
Recruit and onboard new farmers into the responsible sourcing program.
Conduct internal farm inspections for all registered RS farmers.
Support the execution of Stronger Coffee Initiative (SCI) programs in collaboration with external partners.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education:
Diploma in Agriculture or a related field.
Experience:
2–3 years working in sustainability or certification programs, preferably in coffee value chains.
Languages:
Proficiency in English and Runyankole is required.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of coffee agronomy and agricultural supply chains.
Experience with certified sourcing schemes (e.g., Rainforest Alliance, 4C).
Computer literacy, including MS Office and digital field tools.
Ability to ride a motorcycle is mandatory – valid riding license required or willingness to obtain one.
Willingness to live in rural areas near farming communities.
Strong organizational, community engagement, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
