Job Title: Field Sales Professional East Africa

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Field Sales Professional based in Uganda to strategically identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase company gross and net revenue sales, manage a portfolio of existing customers to achieve a growth in share of wallet per account.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Establish relationships with new prospects and customers and secure contracts with new customers. Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets.
Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking.
Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods. Give sales presentations, submit opportunities, and submit activity and results reports to leadership.
Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services and operations offered by the company. Interact regularly with station and operations managers and develop close and cooperative working relationship with operational staff to ensure the customer’s needs are met.
Schedule and conduct a pre- determined number of face-to-face sales visits as directed by the Business Development Manager.
Input sales call information into the sales data system (Cview) or other designated sales call software provided by the company and/or provides sales reports as directed by Business Development Manager on a daily basis.
Maintain a pre- determined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts and progress toward closing. Meet or exceed sales threshold/quota as defined by the company.
Work cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a team-selling environment.
Ensure overdue accounts are settled by clients and follow up to ensure credit terms are met.
Any other duty as may be appropriately allocated.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing or Transport and Logistics Management or any other related course.
Post Graduate diploma in Marketing or any other related course.
A minimum of Five (5) years working experience in sales particularly in the logistics operations or related field.
Experience in the aid and relief sector, including familiarity and strong network with Aid & Relief projects.
Membership in a recognized professional body or Institute is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management concepts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and proactively in a target-driven environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
High level of proficiency in using computer applications
High integrity, self-driven and able to set own work schedule with rigorous deadlines.
