Job Description
This role involves operating wells and associated equipment using established procedures and safety protocols. The Field Operator II will monitor operations, report abnormalities, conduct minor maintenance tasks, and participate in safety and emergency response initiatives. The individual will support operational continuity through accurate record-keeping and effective communication during shift changes. They will also assist with well diagnostics and wellwork intervention support when necessary.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operate equipment and wells following safety and operational guidelines
Execute daily work plans, maintain housekeeping standards, and ensure health, safety, and security compliance
Participate actively in toolbox and safety meetings
Monitor wells and equipment to identify optimization or corrective actions
Conduct basic maintenance tasks as an Equipment Care Technician
Report alarms and emergency system malfunctions
Maintain detailed shift handover documentation
Coordinate and monitor maintenance activities
Log all operational events and abnormalities
Collect product samples and perform basic field lab tests
Participate in emergency response activities
Escalate incidents according to reporting guidelines
Maintain clear communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor and team
Provide accurate reports on well performance and issues
Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are maintained before and during wellwork operations
Support ongoing wellwork operations as required

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Completed secondary school education
Prior experience as a Field Technician
Strong oral and written communication skills
High regard for safety, health, and environmental compliance
Solid knowledge of pipeline operations and safety management
Familiarity with emergency response protocols
Understanding of project design specifications and relevant regulations
Knowledge of commercial agreements
