Job Description
The Field Coordinator Officer will manage field operations and community-based interventions in Kikuube district and surrounding regions. They will coordinate stakeholder engagements, oversee the deployment of Community-Based Extension Workers, deliver training in climate-smart agriculture, and support cooperative and value chain development. The Officer will also contribute to project monitoring, reporting, and foster linkages with markets and agribusiness initiatives. The position includes a 3-month probation period and annual renewal based on performance and funding. ThinkIT retains intellectual property rights for all outputs.

How to Apply
Coordinate field activities and engage stakeholders including partners, local authorities, and communities
Mobilize farmers, youth, and women for training, cooperatives, and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs)
Deploy and mentor Community-Based Extension Workers (CBEWs)
Deliver agronomic training on climate-smart practices, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and post-harvest handling
Facilitate block farming initiatives and oversee governance structures
Conduct practical horticulture training aligned with project curricula
Support youth and women agripreneurs through training and mentorship
Collect, compile, and enter project monitoring data
Coordinate aggregation points and market linkages
Facilitate youth-led value addition and micro-franchise initiatives
Conduct business needs assessments and identify partnership opportunities
Represent ThinkIT in stakeholder meetings (e.g., OPM, UNHCR, district governments)
Maintain updated records of project beneficiaries
Contribute to workplan development and performance reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics, Business Administration, Rural Development, or related fields
At least 3 years’ experience in community engagement, agricultural development, or value chain competitiveness
Experience in cooperative development, agribusiness, and stakeholder coordination
Knowledge of agricultural markets, climate-smart practices, and training delivery
Proficient in English and Runyakitara
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Familiarity with refugee-hosting districts and humanitarian programming is an added advantage
Experience with digital data collection tools is desirable
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet tight deadlines
