Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure fish are fed the correct amount and type of feed as specified
- Collect mortalities and ensure all feed and mortalities are registered daily
- Monitor feeding behaviour and general health of the fish
- Ensure the feeding site and equipment are clean, neat, and tidy
- Prepare all appropriate equipment and feed before feeding time
- Check fingerling quantity, size, and feed type from feeding chart/inventory and ensure feed rations are weighed and recorded
- Report any abnormality in colouring, texture, or moulds
- Ensure feed spills and wastage are minimal
- Clean, dry, and correctly store all equipment after each shift
- Check for holes in Hapas or bird nets, problems with aeration systems, or damage to ponds
