Job Title: Family Strengthening Programme Coordinator

Position Summary
The Family Strengthening Programme Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day implementation, supervision, and evaluation of all Family Strengthening (FS) program activities in Mayuge. This includes managing program staff, ensuring quality service delivery, aligning with donor expectations, building community partnerships, and ensuring child protection, safeguarding, and sustainability. The coordinator reports to the Program Director and works closely with the National Program Coordinator.

How to Apply
Program Implementation & Management
Lead and monitor implementation of FS activities in line with program plans and donor commitments.
Develop and oversee annual budgets, work plans, and procurement needs.
Ensure compliance with SOS and donor financial, procurement, and reporting guidelines.
Facilitate family selection and exit processes based on vulnerability and self-reliance assessments.
Support the development and monitoring of Family Development Plans (FDPs).
Monitoring, Evaluation, & Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Support the M&E Officer in designing and implementing evaluation tools and systems.
Conduct regular field visits, supervise data quality, and contribute to donor reports.
Participate in program reviews, learning activities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and formalize partnerships with local organizations, service providers, and government entities.
Support community-based capacity development and strengthen referral networks.
Represent SOS in district-level forums and community engagements.
Financial Management
Monitor program expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Participate in budget planning, forecasting, and donor proposal development.
Support procurement planning and logistics in line with organizational policy.
Human Resource & Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor the FS program team, including setting performance targets and providing feedback.
Ensure team adherence to safeguarding policies and child protection standards.
Plan staff workloads effectively and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and exit procedures.
Promote a strong team spirit and positive, accountable work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Psychology, or related field.
Postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Development Studies, M&E, or Human Resource Management is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in community development work with NGOs, especially in child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), livelihoods, education, or WASH.
Strong knowledge of child rights advocacy and experience working with government and donor-funded programs.
Proven skills in project planning, M&E (Results-Based Management), budget oversight, proposal writing, and team management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools for M&E and reporting.
Flexible, resilient, and able to work under pressure in dynamic field environments.
