Job Description
To conduct enumeration of all aqua culture in the assigned Enumeration areas.
Enumerators will be responsible for collecting accurate and reliable data from selected respondents using digital data collection tools.
They will conduct interviews, record responses, ensure data confidentiality, and submit daily reports to their supervisors.
The role is temporary and will require individuals who are detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to interact professionally with members of the public.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Participate in all training sessions and meet the criteria for assessment
Locate fish firms in the assigned districts
Identify and interview selected respondents and record the responses on to the application
Identify errors and inconsistencies in the responses/data during the interview and correct them in consultation with the respondent
Ensure confidentiality of the data collected
responsible for all the survey materials/equipment allocated to him/her
Synchronise data collected at the end of every interview
Prepare and submit a daily progress report to the supervisor
Prepare and submit an end of activity report to the supervisor
Observe research ethics as will be guided
Any other duties assigned from time to time by the field supervisor in relation to work
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of an Ordinary Level Certificate of Education (UCE)
Must have scored at least a credit in Mathematics at UCE
Experience
Training in fisheries or aquaculture is an added advantage
Skills and attributes
Must possess a National Identification Number (NIN)
Must have a Tax Identification Number (TIN) and be registered with National Social Security Fund (NSSF Number)
Basic computer knowledge and experience in data collection is an added advantage
Strong interpersonal, communication, and numeracy skills
Should be responsible citizen of good character and integrity
Should possess experience in data collection for censuses and surveys
Should possess swimming skills
Must be physically fit and able to work under minimal supervision
Must possess a smart phone
Must have a Phone Number that is registered on Mobile Money in their own name
Must be available exclusively for the Aquaculture activity from 1st May 2025 to 30th May 2025
